The English Illustrated Magazine ran monthly from October 1883 to August 1913. Its features covered a wide range of general interest topics, including pets, travel (both in the British Isles and around the world), profiles, short and serialized fiction, etc. As the name implies, the magazine was lavishly illustrated, featuring artists like Walter Crane, Alma-Tadema, and Louis Wain. Earlier issues did not include a volume number; volumes ran from October to March and April to September.
